Packing Innovations Exhibition (PACK) has just finished and ODM have just finished tracking it. This event was the leading events for Packing Innovations, Inspiring Developments and New Approaches to discover new trends and technologies in the UK.

For this year’s PACK2016, the ODM Group followed the event closely and gathered information from over 927 tweets before and during the event. After analysing this information we created the following word cloud, with the number of mentions being represented by the size of the word.

As seen in the word cloud the big focus was on Packaging, with “Innovations” and “XPOLogistics” being particularly focused on.  Though there were interesting mentions of “PackNews” and “Ecopack”. These word clouds are great at understanding what it is that attendees are talking about and what they find to be most interesting from this event.

Alongside this with this event tracking, we also found out who the 25 most active people on Twitter were. This type of event provides a good opportunity to increase your brand awareness through the use of social media. The top 25 are listed below.

Held in Birmingham, this two day Packaging Innovations event gives buyers and key decision makers the chance to touch and feel products and materials. You can also discuss your individual business with suppliers on a face to face basis, something better done personally than internet limitations. Whilst also being exhibited alongside the co-located EcoPack and Label&Print Co-Exhibits, it is a lively programme of educational seminars, including many interactive features, and live debates, such as the Great Innovation Debate and BIG Print Debate.

With over 300 exhibiting companies attending, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers coming from hundreds of industries, this is certainly the best way to gain invaluable and powerful knowledge to help in your everyday workplace.  Also new to 2016 is the New Rising Star Scheme specifically tailored to give young brands the opportunity to achieve their packaging goals and the best possible solutions for their company.
