Starting on 15th April 2012, you can purchase your very own limited edition MTR x Angry Birds Souvenir Tickets from any MTR Customer Service Centres. Included in the entire collectible series is the “Yellow Bird”, “Blue Bird”, “Red Bird” and “Green Pig” Souvenir Ticket Sets. Each set costs only HKD95 and consist of a souvenir ticket, a ticket holder, and an Angry Birds mini train with tracks set!

Hong Kong MTR has chosen to co-brand their promotional product with Angry Birds in bid of boosting their brand awareness through licensed character. This proves to be an effective way of increasing brand recognition as such licensed characters are popular among younger customers.
By using licensed character, a company is able increase the perceived value of a promotional item which will drive up the sales. It also enhances the brand recall because of the strong influence of these characters. Some other licensed characters that are commonly branded on promotional products are Spongebob Squarepants, Hello Kitty and Snoopy.
