As mentioned in the previous blog post, our ODM staff recently visited the Hong Kong Lighting Fair 2012. One interesting product spotted by us was the fireless candle.
This seemingly normal candle is made up of these SMD LED bulbs and when you blow at the ‘fire’ in the candle; it would go off like magic. To turn it on, the same action can be done and it would come on instantly.
This product is very child-friendly as it can put at a place within the reach of children so that children can easily maneuver around the house without having to reach for every light switch. It is also less dangerous as compared to lighting an actual candle where children can easily get burnt by the fire or hot wax.
Companies producing children products can easily brand their logo on the candle and this would help increase brand recall. Some ways of branding would be foil stamping, laser engraving, pad printing.
