The PUB Show launched in 2015 to celebrate the UK pub industry’s innovations, trends, products, services and people. This year here in ODM we have been following the show closely and have conducted the event tracking on Twitter.

Bringing together key trade associations, business leaders, key decision makers, pub owners, entrepreneurs and pub companies, PUB was conceived by former publican and SME London Managing Director, Tim Etchells. The PUB Show 2016 was the largest pub show in years, featuring over 180 exhibitors, 24 seminars, and thousands of operators all in one place.

For this year’s PUB Show, the ODM Group gathered information from several hundreds of tweets before and during the event. We created the following word cloud, with the number of mentions being represented by the size of the word.

As seen in the word cloud the big focus was on beer industry and the show itself, with “Pub”, “PubShowUK”, “stand” and “beer” being particularly focused on. These word clouds are great at understanding what it is that attendees are talking about and what they find to be most interesting from this event.
