October 1st,2010 marks the 61st anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China and is celebrated as China’s National Holiday.
National Day is celebrated throughout China with a variety of government-organized festivities, including fireworks and concerts. Public places such as Tiananmen Square in Beijing are decorated in a festive theme. Portraits of revered leaders are publicly displayed.
