The Danish jam company, Den Gamle Fabrik have made a promotion on their Facebook page where they give their customers a picnic basket.
Although the weather has not aligned with the International Picnic Day in Denmark, but Den Gamle Fabrik is giving out an umbrella with the picnic basket.
The company have made their marketing as a storytelling where they use mascots for the brand which is called the berry people. They use the berry people in all their advertising including on the bottles and have made a story book about them. They give the story book for free to their customers, and the book is as well a part of the picnic basket.
This is a good way to create some brand awareness about your company, storytelling is something people remember and it is eye catching when your customers get something else than just a products. Here they make it a whole experience to buy jam, and kids would love to hear more about the berry people before bedtime.
