Our ODM staff dropped by the beach last weekend and spotted this ball at a beach store! This beach ball had the Stella Artois logo printed across it.
The ball was American Football shaped and red and white. Branded on both white segments.
It was interesting how a ball, a product not really related to alcohol, was being sold by a small stall unaffiliated with Stella Artois themselves. It shows that your products do not have to be relative to the type of business you are, and that you can offer your products to smaller businesses to sell on. Even somewhere as secluded from the general public as a small beach store.
Branding any type of product, as long as it is a product that people will want to buy, will definitely sell. Whether in busy towns or on a sunny day at the beach, people will see your product and company logo and this would definitely help with brand recognition.

Promotional Products such as these mini balls, which were made in massive qtys. for tournaments like the Rugby 7's many years ago, are much less visible these days.
What is interesting about this purchase is that stalls in HK are selling products that were designed to be given away for free. Most promotional products are not for resale, but if they can be resold it is certainly a sign of quality and means that such promotions have a very high perceived value.
Clear sign to beer companies that there is appetite.
