On a recent visit to Tesco shops in the UK we found an interesting Beer Promo.   Buy any can/bottle of Carlsberg and get the chance to enter a redemption promotion.

The competition has 2 main prizes, a chance to meet with the English football team or loudspeakers.   The competition is limited to 50 branded loudspeakers a day so this is not a fixed fee promo.

We found it quite interesting that most other beer companies are competing purely on price.   A lot of the cheap promo products that you usually get for free in Asia (card games, bottle openers, etc…) are now on sale unbranded on clip strips.

Our prediction is for a reduction in on-pack promotional mechanisms and an increase in associated clip strips with some of the bigger brands working to get their logos on the clip strips also.
