The Torres Winery has secured stronger position on the shelves of HK super markets due to its eyecatching gift with purchase promotional campaign. They attach a small plastic and customised promotional figurine of an ox/bull to their wine bottles. We call this a Bottle Necker.
For HK & China market the Ox has strong cultural connotations – see Chinese Zodiac. This means the wines should be expected to do particularly well in China for years 2009 & 2021.
The ox is painted gold with white horns and it has the brand “Torres” embossed on each side. It is attached to the bottle by means of a red and yellow striped band, and it can be used as a keychain once removed.
