Event tracking on twitter is a good way of finding out what the most important topics are. Adtech is the name for a series of events taking place all across the world. It is focused on bringing marketing and technology together. For this year’s Adtech Asean the ODM group followed the event closely and gathered information from over 1000 tweets before and during the event. After analyzing this information we created the following word cloud, with the number of mentions being represented by the size of the word.
What was our conclusion from this event tracking?
As seen in the word cloud the big focus was on various types of digital and online marketing. A new and popular idea in the world of marketing is marketing automation. This refers to the automation of repetitive tasks on websites, social media and email to ensure that they run more effectively. Advancements in software related to marketing automation has made sure that companies can cut down on unnecessary costs. This is just one of many ways in which technology has helped marketing. It has also provided better ways of targeting potential customers by analyzing their web history. With this event tracking we also found out who the 25 most active people on twitter were. This type of event provides a good opportunity to increase your brand awareness through the use of social media. The top 25 are listed below.
