The Samsonite team took to the streets in Hong Kong near Times Square over Chinese New Year.   They were giving away Helium Balloons in the shape of Samsonite Trolley cases complete with telescope and wheels.

The focus of the Samsonite marketing strategy is to showcase how light their suitcases are.   The promotional mechanism and message is extremely clear and simple…  No need to complicate it.

The baloons provided great visibility for the brand in the crowded shopping streets around Times Square and the red colour ties in nicely with Chinese New Year and gift giving culture.

Large flying mascots can also convey same message.
