As Christmas draws closer, retailers are starting to offer Promotional Specials as a form of marketing/advertising. We recently visited Fortress, a leader in electrical appliances in Hong Kong, to review this promotional product trend.
Structure: Tiered promotional mechanism depending on your spend for Electronics or White goods. Customers can choose from free (GWP) Gifts with Purchase or spend more to enjoy (PWP) Purchase with Purchase offers on selected goods.
Whilst the free promotional gifts including items such as duck cups, notebooks , bags and other novelties, the PWP promo is on their usual in-store retail items so customers really perceive the savings..
Promotional gifts certainly encourage impulse purchases and lead to higher purchases as clients look to redeem higher end or more desirable gifts. Below are the images of gifts with purchase which our staff spotted.
