It’s that time of year again here in China! Every October from the 1st there is a public holiday in China known as ‘Golden Week’. Chinese Golden Week is a celebration of the founding of The People’s Republic of China. This happened in 1949, meaning that this year’s celebration marks 70 years!

What happens During Golden Week?
Golden week happens twice a year in China, both on the “Chinese Lunar New Year Golden Week” and “The National Day Golden Week”. The National Day Golden week is what Chinese people are currently preparing for. During this time Chinese people travel to their hometowns to spend time with family and friends, or take a trip abroad. The streets are usually filled with people and public transport becomes very busy. There are also many public parades and firework displays.
How will this affect your order?
The Golden week will affect production and delivery time as companies in China are closed between 1st October and 7th October. Therefore, we have been advising our clients to ensure they have made their orders before 25th September to ensure the fastest delivery of their products possible.
