In this customer loyalty program, customers may accumulate reward points in their Starbucks Rewards Account (“Stars”). Stars include Tier Stars, Reward Stars and Bonus Reward Stars, specifically:

• Tier Stars means the reward points that are accumulated by a Member in accordance with Section 6.3 hereunder and can be used to determine a Member’s membership level;
• Reward Stars means the reward points that are accumulated by a Gold Level Member in accordance with Section 6.4 hereunder and can be used to redeem products as might be designated by Starbucks from time to time (“Designated Products”) and can be used to participate in or redeem the benefits as might be designated by Starbucks from time to time (such as participating in marketing or promotion activities held by Starbucks or any third party) (“Designated Benefits”).
• Bonus Reward Stars means the reward points that are accumulated by a Gold Level Member in accordance with Section 6.5 hereunder and can be used to redeem Designated Products and Designated Benefits, the valid period of which are shorter than that of Reward Stars.
