5 Reasons Customers Love this Bottle Packaging Box from The Botanist

Creating a promotional product packaging that is not just aesthetically pleasing but also functional is crucial in building your brand. It’s about coming up with a packaging solution that reflects your company’s personality and values. If you are looking for inspiration, you might love to take a closer look at this bottle packaging box from The Botanist!

We recently spotted this customised gin packaging during our visit to Vietnam. Reinforcing its deep connection with locally foraged botanicals and its dedication to minimising waste, The Botanist developed a custom gift set with tin packaging containers that can be used as herb planters.

The Botanist Gin is a progressive exploration of the botanical heritage of the Isle of Islay in Scotland. Made by the geniuses at the Bruichladdich distillery, it is jam-packed with 22 hand-foraged local botanicals, including nine berries, barks, seeds and peels.

The complex nature and flavour of this gin make it perfect for the simplest of serves.

Packaging Innovation: From a Simple Box to a Planter

1. Choice of Material

Presented in tin box packaging, this gin gift pack from The Botanist naturally stands out from the others.

The aesthetically pleasing appearance of the bottle packaging box is definitely hard to ignore, thanks to its material.

Tin is known for its unique lustre which is highly convenient when it comes to printing and decoration.

2. High-End Decoration Technique

As we look closer, we found another factor that makes this gin gift set a unique find.

Embossed on this bespoke packaging box are the botanicals that go into The Botanist.

We love how it gives an exclusive touch to the promotional packaging that certainly adds value as it reflects a high-end decoration technique along with its minimalist design.

4. Product Safety

Aside from its aesthetic appearance, it is commendable how high-quality and durable the bottle packaging box is, ensuring product safety in retail.

The thick structure of the customized tin packaging supports the bottle inside well, with a snug fit to avoid the risk of falling.

The smart design also allows the packaging case to work both as a product packaging and a branded planter, maintaining a stable placement whether placed horizontally or vertically.

4. Commitment to Sustainability

Most of the time, a branded packaging box just ends up in bins after the consumer takes the product inside.

Even though more people are being environmentally responsible, some cannot just find another purpose for the pile of packaging boxes in their homes.

The Botanist, with its commitment to sustainability, made a significant move by letting its customers know that they can still use the packaging box even after consuming the bottle inside it.

5. The Idea of Foraging

In line with the brand’s sustainability, The Botanist encourages customers to #BeTheBotanist and reinvent their classic gin and tonic with a home-grown botanical twist.

They can grow herbs and edible flowers in the planter or throw in a pre-potted plant of their own. The versatility of the product itself allows them to have it with a sprig of whatever’s in their garden.

Foraging is the act of gathering wild resources for consumption.

Grow Your Own Garnish!

This idea of foraging has become the philosophy behind The Botanist, from the distillery itself right down to the bars and the customers in their homes.

Step 1:

Remove the bottle from the hold.

Step 2:

Remove the hold from your planter.

Step 3:

Put soil in your planter and plant the seeds.

Step 4:

Keep the soil moist but not wet and watch it grow!
